Battaglin Cicli have launched a new range of gravel bikes under the Full Dynamix name. The revived brand, originally launched in 1999 by Giovanni Battaglin to concentrate on cross-country mountain bikes, now offers customers a choice in material from carbon fibre to aluminium and steel for their exclusive gravel bikes.
The new Full Dynamix range comprises three models simply called the Gravel C, Gravel A and Gravel S, all of which are completely handmade in Italy at Battaglin’s factory in Marostica.
The Gravel C features a full 3K carbon tube-to-tube construction, allowing Full Dynamix complete control over the fabrication process.
Prominent features of the Gravel C are front and rear thru-axles, flat-mount dic brakes, internal cable routing, a PressFit BB92 bottom bracket, 1X and 2X drivetrain compatibility and clearance for 700 x 41 mm / 650 b x 50 mm tires.
The ‘all-out racer’ of the range. The ‘C’ is intended to do one thing and one thing only: Win.
If you would like to own one of these frames, you had best put your in order now. The Gravel C is limited to a production run of just 60. Very exclusive indeed!
The Gravel A follows the same artisan principles as the Gravel C, but is contructed from Dedacciai’s Aegis custom alluminium tubing and handcrafted by Battaglin’s team of skilled, Italian framebuilders.
Described as their ‘do it all’ frame, the ‘A’ will tackle long distance adventures and furious racing with aplomb.
Just like its carbon sibling, everything that makes a gravel bike a gravel bike are apparent on the Gravel C to include the decision to use a CNC machined 68mm bottom bracket shell that’s compatible with both mechanical and electronic groupsets, along with a full carbon monocoque fork.
The Gravel A is available in six standard geometries, ranging from XS to XXL.
For steel afficianodos, Battaglin have you covered with the Full Dynamix Gravel S. Described as the ‘long distance, multi-day adventurer’ of the range, this is designed for comfort.
Battaglin have a collaborated with Columbus Steel for over 3 decades and this relationship led to Columbus customising the LIFE tubes to Battaglin’s unique specifications. The result is a triple-butted Omnicrom tube set, which is an exclusive solution in terms of design, stiffness and lightness. The same full carbon monocoque fork as used on it’s siblings also comes standard on the ‘S’.
As with the rest of the Full Dynamix range, the Gravel S uses the same full carbon monocoque fork, thru-axles front and rear and flat-mount disc brake fittings.
No official word on the pricing is available yet, but pre-orders can be taken. We’re planning on dropping in on Battaglin to see some of the Full Dynamix gravel bikes in the flesh and to get you some exciting photos very soon.
