Now in it’s second year, the Dirty Boar Gravel Ride in Belgium has quickly become one of those ‘must do‘ events. If you fancy 170km of riding around Belgium then this put a mark next to the 8th September 2018 on your calendar. And another one for when entries open on 8th March at noon.

The route is kept under wraps and the exact details along with a GPX, will only be revealed a few weeks before the event. What we do know is that it will go through some fairly remote Belgian countryside. It will also contain some private or protected sections of forest/gravel for which the organisers got approval to ride the day of the event. The rest of the time, they are completely off-limits to the public.

The organisers claim that most of the route will be hard-pack dirt or gravel roads, perfect for your dropped bar adventure/gravel or mountain bike. Check out the video which shows you some of the antics from the first edition of the Dirty Boar in 2017. It’s fair to say that everyone is hoping that 2018 might be a little bit drier!
