The performance-orientated carbon Roval Rapide C38 wheelset will happily see you race up climbs on smooth roads or attack gravel roads with washboard descents, according to Specialized, and all at a more wallet-friendly price.
The Roval Rapide C38 wheelset is available in disc brake only, and designed to be a carbon all-rounder, that’ll take you both on and off road, but still retaining performance as a priority. These weigh in at 1,560g for the pair, the same as the outgoing C38 wheelset, but at £100 less, retailing at £1,150 ($1,000).

Tubeless ready out of the box
As you’d expect from a modern wheelset, they’re tubeless ready, set up with tubeless tape and supplied with tubeless valves out of the box, and feature ‘standard’ thru axle measurements of 100x12mm front and 142x12mm rear. The 21mm internal rim diameter will support both larger volume gravel tyres and wider road rubber too, and the aerodynamic profile features a 38mm wide outer diameter, hence the name.
