Rondo might be best known for its gravel bikes and flip-chip forks, but for 2021 the range is gaining some new models to make this offering the Polish brand’s most versatile yet. Let’s take a look at the full 2021, from frame adjustments and jazzy new colourways to totally new bikes.
Ruut – the classic gravel bike
Gravel, bikepacking and long distance riding, this is the bike that put Rondo on the map. For 2021, all models are equipped with American Spank Wing Vibrocore bars and Hunt Bike Wheels‘ X-Wide gravel wheels (25mm internal). Alloy models feature an updated frame and second generation carbon fork.
RUUT Ti – €4,599, 9.68kg
RUUT CF 1 – €3,859, 8.9kg
RUUT CF2 – €2,999
RUUT AL 1 – €1,999, 10.2kg
RUUT AL 2 – €1,599, 10.5 kg
Alongside the existing models, Rondo has introduced three new RUUT builds. The first two are more road-friendly builds of the existing RUUT models, with a carbon and alloy model to choose from both with 2X gearing and faster rolling tyres.
The RUUT X is a totally new model, the lightest of the RUUT range and is performance orientated, aimed at riders that choose cyclocross racing as well as gravel. Built with Shimano GRX, HUNT aero alloy wheels fitted with Schwalbe 33mm CX tyres, an Easton EC70 carbon aero bar, it’s certainly cyclocross orientated, but can also fit up to 45mm tyres on 700c wheels, for those days where you’d rather hit the gravel instead.
RUUT CF 2X – €2,699, 9.65kg
RUUT AL 1 2X – €1,999, 10.3kg
RUUT X – €3,699, 8.6kg
Mutt – the long distance touring bike
Fitted with 650b wheels and mudguards, 2X road-orientated gearing and Rondo’s signature Vario geometry, there’ve only been minor cosmetic changes to Rondo’s long distance offering for 2021.
MUTT AL – €1,999, 11.1kg
MUTT ST – €2,569, 11kg
BOGAN – the monstercross bike
Exploration was key to the design of the new BOGAN ST, which features a new RONDO 38T chainring. The frame is centred around stability, durability and comfort on rough roads. Kitted out with WTB Nano 2.1″ tyres and mounts all over the frame and fork, this is a bike that’s bound to pique the interest of the bikepacking community.
BOGAN ST – €1,999, 10.8kg
HVRT – the road plus bike
The world’s first ‘vario geometry road-plus bike‘, the HVRT (good luck saying that) has the capability for 700c or 650b wheels, and position can also be changed easily thanks to the Twintip fork, for slacker or more aggressive positioning. The top of the range CF 0 now comes with HUNT Limitless carbon wheels (as does the CF 1), while the CF 2 features HUNT AERO LIGHT wheels.
HVRT CF 2 – €3,599
