Repete Cycles are a small framebuilder based in Prague, Czech Republic. They would have remained under the radar, quietly going about their craft if it was not for the fame of winning Best Road Bike Award at NAHBS back in 2015. Today we’re presenting the Verne, their gravel model.
Verne
The Verne is Repete Cycles vision of a fast, maneuverable, all-terrain gravel bike. Adapting their road bike DNA and transplanting it into a design which breaks the boundary between road and trail riding. The Columbus Spirit HSS steel frame is sharp and responsive for hour long speed runs, but also compliant enough in case that short ride turns into a day trip.
With clearance for 700×40c or 650×47c tyres, a 44mm head tube, T47 bottom bracket and flat mount brakes, the Verne is every bit the modern gravel racer. But it doesn’t stop there. The frame features stainless, investment cast dropouts and internal cable routing, compatible with both mechanical and electronic shifting. Up front is every framebuilders favourite carbon gravel fork, the Columbus Futura.
The bike just looks like it can ride for miles and miles. And the Verne is exactly the bike for long days in the saddle!
Repete Cycles bikes come in several configuration options, a choice of two beautiful paint finishes and six frame sizes. Options start from €2,600. We don’t call them dream builds for nothing!
