Hitting stores in October, Kinesis UK have just announced a third bike to their well respected Adventure category with their most affordable bike yet: the G2.
Building on the huge success of the Kinesis Tripster AT and ATR models, the G2 offers a well thought out complete bike that delivers versatility in spades coupled with the same DNA of the even more adventurous Tripster models. The G2 is affordably priced at £1,500 yet highly specified with SRAM Rival hydraulic groupset and Schwalbe G-One 40mm tyres.
Available in four sizes, the G2 geometry has nimbler road characteristics than the Tripster AT with shorter head tubes to improve road position and to offer faster handling over it’s more distance biased Tripster brethren along with shorter chainstays for punchier power delivery to make the G2 a more competitive option that could even duke it out in the occasional privateer cyclocross race.

Four season versatility has long been a strong point for Kinesis and the G2 is no different as it features full rack and guard mounts making it ready for adventures whatever the weather. The frame has clearance for 700x40c tyres and with mudguards attached, you’ll be able to fit a maximum of 700x38c.
“The G2 is our expression of the ultimate Go-To bike”
Kinesis have listened carefully to customer feedback regarding their small frame sizes and have responded by offering a semi sloping top tube on their smallest frame size of 51 which measures at 49cm C-T. This brings the small frame’s comfort in-line with the larger models, as more seat post extension adds comfort in the saddle. The design also increases stand over clearance where shorter legs can struggle with squarer/traditional frames.
The small slope (with a standard reach) along with a shorter stem has also helped Kinesis deal with occasional toe overlap issues that a small minority of people had experienced. This is all part of a new Kinesis UK Rider Fit Design Process.
The Kinesis G2 is available to pre-order now from KinesisUK dealers for October delivery.
