Grinduro Wales

The Coronavirus strikes again. This time, the Welsh round of the Grinduro World Series has been bitten by the bug. Organisers have rescheduled the event for Saturday the 10th October 2020.

UK Grinduro Event Manager, Oliver Paton and his team have been closely monitoring the government’s safety measures since the outbreak occurred. Accessing the impact on Grinduro and how best to ensure the safety of riders and events staff during these unprecedented times. Initially it looked like the July date may be possible, but it soon became clear that wasn’t going to happen.

All race entrants will be automatically transferred to the new date of 10th October 2020. Riders unable to make the new date can claim a refund by contacting the organisers. The deadline to submit refund requests is midnight on Sunday the 28th of June 2020.

ADVNTR found some epic trails around Machynlleth, home of Grinduro Wales.

Wales Never Fails

Having run for three years on the Isle of Arran, it was time Grinduro moved on for fresh new trails. New host town Machynlleth has long been a hotspot for mountain biking. The famous Atherton siblings have shredded the valley trails for years and the Mach-1 MTB trails have long been an old school favourite. As we found out, linking up those trails are some sublime gravel tracks and forest roads. All the ingredients to create the perfect Grinduro party.

Entries are still available if you fancy some autumn gravelling in the valleys. Hopefully Wales is feeling generous come October and dishes out some sunshine!
