The Fairlight Secan quickly established itself as a cult classic in the halls of gravel bike stardom. Loved by owners as a versatile, do-it-all bicycle that can tackle everything from forest fireroads to full mudguard equipped winter road hack.
With such a successful design, Fairlight have been wise to leave the recipe well alone. But now a new black finish has joined the existing blue and grey colourways to give you even more opportunities to customise your Secan. Take a look at Mark’s Fairlight for some inspiration.
Custom Comes First
And customisation is something that Fairlight have always been keen on. Their build kits have featured the full anodised rainbow of Hope components to allow customers to go for the full personal touch. Our favourite is the Hope purple headset and seatpost clamp, which complement the black/silver paint job very nicely.
Prices start at £1,199 for a frame and fork and a £500 deposit will secure you a place on the order list for the European manufactured steel frame. Full builds come in at £2,199 for Shimano 105 to a still surprisingly affordable £3,499 for GRX 800 Di2. SRAM fans are not left out in the cold with Rival 1x and Force 1x at £2,299 to £2,799 respectively.
Order books are open
The black Fairlight Secan frames and bikes are ready to order now with many sizes arriving from February. Want to see more? Fairlight have created a photo gallery lookbook. It features lots of high resolution photos to show off the frameset details as well as some very nice full bike examples.

Think Pink
What better way to thank a long term collaborator to the Fairlight brand than with a very special one-off custom painted Secan. Bentley Components founder, Mark Bentley is the man who crafts the unique CNC machined components on Fairlight frames. So as you can understand, he deserves something a bit special.
How special? This 54R GRX800 1x build in pink with graphite decals. That’s how special. If you ever see a pink blur whizzing across the North Yorkshire Moors, chances are it will be Mark!
